I have been learning to write a fractured fairy tale using what I have learned about a narrative structures and features. My fracture fairy was based on little red ridding hood. the best part of this was typing my fractured fairy tale. I got a lot better at writing. I am most proud of finishing in time. My next step is to make sure I sequence the story in the right order.

I have been learning to identify conman themes in fairy and fractured tales. We read two narratives called little red ridding hood and into the forest. A common theme l made from these stories was grandma, mum, forest and red. I found this easy because I had the two books to compare. My next step is to write my own fractured fairy tale.

We have been learning to find and summarize information by skimming and scanning. Skimming and scanning are fast reading techniques to help you find the main ideas or information quickly in a text. We read a story about white tailed spiders. I used scamming and scanning to read this text. I found this easy because I had the book and it had the book and the book had the answers in it. My next step is to us skimming and scanning more often.

We have been learning to compare and contrast different celebrations. My group researched information about the differences of Diwali and Easter. Something I found interesting was finding out information about Diwali next we worked with anther group and used a venn diagram to compare our celebration. Things that were the same were special clothes and foods. My next step is to detail and information in the venn diagram.
