My Reflection

I have been learning to add detail to my writing.  We had to imagine we were a solder or a family members and write about this picture.  I used adjectives to make my writing more interesting.  My next step is to use features like smiles, onomatopoeia and alliteration.

Moment in time

My Reflection
I have been learning to use strategies to add detail to my writing.  I wrote about a moment in time during my holiday.  I used my 5 senses to add  retell to my writing.  I found this work easy because we did a plan before we wrote it.  My next step is to make an image in the readers mind.

Suffixes

I have been learning to understand how suffixes change the meaning of a word.  I found this easy because I had all reedy  learnt what it is.  My next step is to understand what a prefix is.

My Reflection
I have been learning to make and justify inference.
An inference is going beyond the author´s words to understand what is not being said in the text.
I found this  easy because we read the book first.
My next step is to use picture to help me work out what the author wants me to know.

Decimal Place Value

 I have been learning to do decimal place value.
I found this hard because the decimal number is not a full number
My next step is to use decimal more in my maths.

My Pepaha Art

This is my pephea art. A pepeha is a way of introducing your self in maori.  I have included my maunga (mountion) my awa(river) my cult and place a which is special to me.
My favourite part of this was coloring the river.I enjoyed this art work.

My Antonym Diamante poem

I have been learning to write an antonym diamante poem.
An antonym is two nouns that are opposites.
A diamante poem is a poem that is the shape of a diamond.
I found this easy because we did a plan first and could just copy it.
My next step is to write a antonym diamante poem more often.
